The Château, built in the 16th century, is an exceptional place that is listed as a french heritage & historical monument. It is ideally located in the heart of a preserved nature reserve of 5 500 hectares of forest. Enter this castle that is full of stories and write your own. The castle is located on the edge of a great forest in Vendée. The castle is situated on its own little private island where the U shape Citardiere is the perfect setup for a chic and intimate wedding.

We have 3 large function rooms that allow you to organise the different moments of your wedding:

The Barn (180sqm), is a gorgeous room with beams decked with guinguette lights for your cocktail reception or ceremony, it is also an ideal space for a Sunday brunch. This room is also the perfect setting in case of bad weather as it has a unique and lovely feel.

The Guards Room (165sqm), this room has the chic Chateau atmosphere which blends perfectly with the rich historical feeling that this room provides. This room has beautiful beige stone walls, a 4m high arched ceiling and terracotta tiles, the perfect spot for your dinner party. Here you’ll be able to dance until the early hours of the morning! The size of this room is perfect for your dinner reception, dance floor and it’s ground level so it’s easy access to the gardens.

The Auberge (75sqm), the ideal room where you gather with your closest friends and family before and after the big day. During your wedding day this room often hosts the children as it provides dedicated furniture for the youngsters. It then turns into a cosy pub where friends can gather in the chesterfields and around the large wooden bar.

We can sleep 27 guests here at the Château in our beautifully decorated bedrooms.

Things to do in the nearby area, the Chateau is located a few minutes away from a picturesque village officially classified as one of the most beautiful villages of France.. The forest is just a stone’s throw away from the chateau.

We are 40 minutes drive from the historical entertainment park Puy du Fou, recently voted best entertainment park in the world.

Finally for all the surfers and beach goers, the chateau is about 1 hr from the stunning Vendée beaches.

You have the option to choose your own caterers, we also have a list of fabulous suppliers that we work with and we have an english wedding planner.

Wines have been selected in partnership with an organic vineyard that is owned by a family in the Vendéé. Upon booking with us a tasting is offered by the vineyard to help you make your selection. This tasting can take place at the Wine Shop or at the Château.

We have 2 areas for ceremonies to take place, one in the courtyard in front of the stone wall & the other in front of the lake. For the venue itself, we have 2 rooms over 170sqm, which means you can do everything without having to worry about the weather. These two beautiful rooms are large as well as intimate.
