Luxury 16th century Chateau with Golf Course
Description
A beautiful 16th Century Chateau, luxury hotel, golf course and spa - something for everyone at this dream wedding venue that is situated in the Dordogne, between Bordeaux, Saint-Emilion and Bergerac.
Dating back to the 16th century and set amidst the famous vineyards of this beautiful and unspoiled region, it is internationally renowned and conveniently located just 25 minutes from Bergerac Airport and about an hour east of Bordeaux. The venue offers its guests two uniquely different experiences, tailored to individual tastes and requirements.
This venue accommodates 70 to 140 guests plus children and caters for up to 140 people.
The chateau and it's outbuildings offer 35 double rooms each of which are uniquely decorated. In addition, the luxury hotel which was built in the style of the old tobacco drying barns (using sustainable local wood) offers a further 40 double rooms. Their Michelin starred chef can provide menus ranging from 50-115 € for a 3 to 7 course meal.
You would have full use of the Chateau's facilities which include its stunning 27 hole golf, sauna, steam room, jacuzzi, heated swimming pools, gyms 2 tennis courts, a billiard table, a football table, and table tennis are at your disposal throughout your stay. From the moment you arrive at this amazing Chateau, affectionately known as “Petit Versailles”, you will be entranced by the very essence of its 12th and 16th century history. Set in a 370 acre calm and peaceful estate, you can take romantic photos near the old pigeonnier in front of the Château. From intricately carved marble fireplaces and imposing staircases to authentic period furniture and hand-woven tapestries, the Chateau invites you to relax in its sumptuous salons, drawing room, billiard room and library.
Weather permitting, your reception can be held in the courtyard of the Chateau at the heart of the estate. In the event of rain and depending on the number of guests, there are two lovely salons at your disposal. The larger of the two is located in the old wine-making building, with its characterful local Perigourdin stone and timber, and is perfect for 50 to140 guests. Meals are served at round tables of 8-10 people, around the dance floor. There is also a second salon which is situated in the Chateau. This arched room, with exposed stone walls, dates back to the 12th century and has a royal table seating up to 25 people.
The Chateau team can arrange airport transfers and hire cars for you on request and, of course, would be happy to answer any questions you have. Also they would warmly welcome you for a visit so that you can see for yourselves this amazing venue. It will take your breath away!
