Magical Historic Castle in the South of France
Description
A superb venue like no other - this castles's origins date back to the 12th Century. Its long and varied history saw it housing the likes of crusaders and consuls until it was turned over to Armagnac production in the 16th century. It is now available to hire - in its entirety - and is one of the biggest venues in the region, with a capacity of up to 500 guests.
The property boasts two former chais (Armagnac storage) which have been turned into large beautiful reception halls of approximately 180 and 300 m² which can be used together or separately for dinner & dancing. They are a wonderful back-up if the weather isn’t so good...
The Château offers accommodation in 5 ensuite bedrooms (11 people) and independent gîtes "ensuite" bedrooms (28 people). Close to the reception halls, there is an unusual and unique, "dormitory style" refuge where young people can rest and sleep (sleeping 24 in 12 single and 6 double beds – bathroom with 2 double showers). There is additional accommodation in many local B&Bs, hotels and gîtes.
You can enjoy 4 hectares of impressive parkland with its centenarian trees. You might use the rosary for a photo shoot or the ceremony, the courtyard for outside dinner & dancing, the East lawn for your cocktail reception - and why not organise a brunch the next morning in the South park close to the swimming-pool.
